Amenities are:Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tripadvisor ratings are not appearing. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Welcome to the site. This could be a possible match for a few different properties, including the Allerton, Knickerbocker, Drake and Westin. Without a tripadvisor rating showing, there's really no telling which is the one showing. Not sure what your budget is, but the W Lakeshore is $129 on Orbitz.com, plus you get 2 cocktails and a free upgrade to lakeview (and the hotel is right across the street from the lake). Use coupon code deal0hotel (the 0 in deal0hotel is the number, not the letter) and you get 10% off each night = $116.10 per night. The W Lakeshore isn't in an area with quite as much nightlife as River North or the Gold Coast (although it wouldn't be a bad walk to River North and there are a number of nice restaurants near the W) , but the hotel is certainly a scene in itself, and 2 free drinks + lake view upgrade is a pretty sweet deal for $25 more per night versus the HOTWIRE listing in question.HOTWIRE also has a 4.5* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville area with the amenities: fitness, business, restaurant, internet for $89. That would be a likely match for the Intercontinental, which is a short walk to the River North nightlife. In terms of HOTWIRE choices, I'd rather recommend that over the 4* NMA-WT-GC for $91.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com links.
spskil Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to go with the Whitehall Hotel - a boutique hotel in NMA that I found on Expedia for avg. $92/night with a guaranteed king size bed. This fit my needs better than any of the other options. As a note, I was also able to get a 3-day Go Chicago card for $49.99 per person when added on to the hotel thru Expedia. This typically goes for $109.99 per person so it's a great deal.
