Got it after testing the murky waters of NYC bidding. It was my last bet for 4*, as I knew I can probably get a 3.5* in the area for about $95.

Total is: $131.63

Used the magical PRICELINE link.

I found this hotel:

5* Waldorf Towers tripadvisor review

On the hotel list. Any ideas how to bid for it? PRICELINE does not usually offer a 4* level. Any out-of-the-sleeve tricks?

Thanks a lot.

Congratualtions on your success!

Nice deal for this property. Hope you're happy with the results and this property works well for your plans (it should, easy to get around the city from this location, which sits directly adjacent to Grand Central Station)

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.

You can't bid for a 5* hotel in NYC at the moment... which means that PRICELINE no longer has a contract in this region for a 5* hotel. They used to, but either any hotels at thsi star level no longer participdate or that the hotel was downgraded.
