lml Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I've been looking for a room for Nov 20-25, then again for Nov 26, in Manhattan, preferably Midtown Central, Times Sq or UWS, but I'm open to MTE as well. This popped up today, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what hotel it is. It has an unusual combination of amenities, but I didn't see it on the Pinned list. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Take a look beyond the first post in the NEW YORK HOTWIRE list... this matches the Millenium UN. This hotel is a bit east, but otherwise gets good reviews. You can read comments HERE and HERE. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
KatiesMom Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I don't know if this will help at all, but on Travelzoo.com, The Park Central Hotel is running a Thanksgiving special of $159/night for certain days. The site has some other hotel specials as well. Perhaps some posters on this board can say whether or not any of them are worthwile.
lml Posted September 22, 2004 Author Report Posted September 22, 2004 Thank you for the quick replies. At the moment, I have a back-up reserved with Yourstay.com (see previous post under "Hotels" - NYC alternative to hotels - UWS studios;---sorry, I don't know how to insert the link directly). The price has gone up to $175, but that includes tax, and the rooms are good-sized and comfortable. 10/29-31 seems to be a very expensive weekend in NY! I'll keep looking.
lml Posted September 22, 2004 Author Report Posted September 22, 2004 Oops - too many NY trips coming up! For Thanksgiving, I have a back-up at Flatotel, W 53rd bet 6th and 7th, for $189/night, except for 11/24, which is $279! The hotel is +/-, but the renovated deluxe rooms, which this is, are very nice and upscale. Booked through CRS.com.If this should be moved to "Hotels", thereuare, please move it for me. thanks!
