I don't know what I was thinking....After days of research, inadvertently put in for a 4* (after trying for 5* Mayfair-Soho) and got the following:

Holiday Inn London-Camden Lock30 Jamestown Road

London, NW1 7BY

442074854343

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $100.00 (USD)

Number of Rooms: 1

Number of Nights: 4

Room Subtotal: $400.00 (USD)

Taxes and Fees: $73.46 (USD)

Total Room Cost: $473.46 (USD)

Dates are 5/17 - 5/21.

Checked the forum and it seemed like few, if any, folks paid this much for this hotel. Serious buyers remorse? *sigh* I wonder if it's worth it trying to get Priceline to cancel and re-bid w/ penalty. Please advise. I haven't used PL in years (the last time I did, I got a Hyatt in Chicago for $40...was hoping for the same sorta luck this time around).

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Hotel direct rates at this property for your dates start at $162/nite, so it's not as if this is a 'gross error'. You can try to get PRICELINE to work with you, but given this is still a good deal vs. a conventionally booked room, i don't think "i selected the wrong star rating and others have paid less for a 4*" is going to be enough to get them to change their policy for you.
