malik Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 I don't know what I was thinking....After days of research, inadvertently put in for a 4* (after trying for 5* Mayfair-Soho) and got the following:Holiday Inn London-Camden Lock30 Jamestown RoadLondon, NW1 7BY442074854343Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $100.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 4Room Subtotal: $400.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $73.46 (USD)Total Room Cost: $473.46 (USD)Dates are 5/17 - 5/21.Checked the forum and it seemed like few, if any, folks paid this much for this hotel. Serious buyers remorse? *sigh* I wonder if it's worth it trying to get Priceline to cancel and re-bid w/ penalty. Please advise. I haven't used PL in years (the last time I did, I got a Hyatt in Chicago for $40...was hoping for the same sorta luck this time around).
thereuare Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Hotel direct rates at this property for your dates start at $162/nite, so it's not as if this is a 'gross error'. You can try to get PRICELINE to work with you, but given this is still a good deal vs. a conventionally booked room, i don't think "i selected the wrong star rating and others have paid less for a 4*" is going to be enough to get them to change their policy for you. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay... let us know if you make any headway with PRICELINE if you pursue it.
