The counter was the winning bid, which makes me think they maybe I overbid a little right out the shoot. Recommend that anyone else try something between 64-81 as your starting bid, but obviously don't go for the straight up counter.

I'm a Detroit Tigers fan, and I'm in town for the Tigers / Pirates interleague series.

This is a very nice hotel and if you have time take a moment to just sit in the lobby to take it all in (you can grab some Starbucks at the location attached to the lobby). If you're driving and don't need in/out privledges park on your own at the lot across the street as it's cheaper to do so on your own at that is where valets take the cars anyway (and when were were there just over a year ago i think Sunday was only something like $5 or so!!)
