thebalrog Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 hello... I have used the advice in some posts on betterbidding.com and it has definitely been very helpful for me in my travels and esp while bidding through priceline..I was wondering if anyone had any experience booking hotels that are 3* or 3.5* in palo alto (since there are no 4* recognized hotels there) for cheap? Currently i was bidding for those ratings for the weekend of May 08th, and I went upto $75 without my bid getting accepted.Ideally i would like to pay $60 or so or less per night, but seems like rates there are much higher and inflexible than maybe santa clara...- could anyone offer any advice on how I can go about getting a good deal in palo alto?- also, any suggestions on the best way to keep repeatedly bidding on priceline would be very much appreciated! i know vaguely that there is some link using which BB can get credit and I would like to absolutely go through that channel....thank you all so muchhemant
thereuare Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!I have used the advice in some posts on betterbidding.com and it has definitely been very helpful for me in my travels and esp while bidding through priceline..We're glad the information here has has been helpful in your previous travels, however, it's somewhat disappointing that this is your first post. One of the reasons this board was so helpful in your previous purchases was because others took the time to share their wins with the board, it would be appreciated if you did the same in an effort to help future users, as others have done before you. :)Regarding your upcoming Palo Alto stay, what are the actual dates of your stay? Have your rejected bids up to $75 been at the 3.5* or 3* level? What is the best rate you're able to find for this stay thru conventional booking channels? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or the search boxes at the top of the page or the links in my signature) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
