I got rental car from PRICELINE after bididng for $14/day Standard car from BUDGET. Total $66.44

tried $10, $11, $12, $13 for midsize - not accepted

moved to $14 and changed car type to standard - accepted

Here is how it looks like:

Your Offer Price: $14.00 (per day)

Total Rental Days: 3 days

Subtotal: $42.00

Taxes and Fees: $24.44

Total Charges: $66.44

The best price I was getting was from National Website for $93.58 (using a free weekend day coupon available on their website) so savings of about $27

This is my first time purchase from PRICELINE and also first time car rental from Budget. I have used National and Enterprise before.

When I went to budget site, I found out that Standard and Full size cars both have the same rate. Now I regret that I should have tried Full Size Car first. Can I get a free upgrade at the rental counter?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Thank you for sharing your win with the board.

You won't be entitled to an upgrade at the counter, but often car rental companies are out of stock on the car reserved and will upgrade you to a higher car class... but the difference between one car class to the next is usually so minimal you can often barely tell the difference between the two.
