CaliforniaJim. Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 We stayed there last November for $99/night plus $12/night resort fee (was a deal the hotel ran itself)Nice hotel. Great location. It was great to get food and cook in the room. The kitchen has everything including a dishwasher except an oven. Also, there is a laundry machine in the room (it is a washer/dryer combo). They give you the packets to use it. The resort fee covers parking, two bottles of water and a few other things. Most hotels there charge it. The pool was good and had a zero-in entry on one side that my 2 year old loved. The pool could have been heated a little more but otherwise great. They did close it the last day but we were leaving anyway. The transportation to WDW was not great at all. You have a call the night before and setup a specific time. Then you call from the park and setup a pickup time. We arrived early only to find out that the shuttle could not take us. After I complained the hotel paid for a cab, it was still a hassle. Then on the way back we waited over an hour. They were very late. Better off driving and parking at WDW. If you leave and come back, you can usually get a very close up spot and then walk into the park. We did that the rest of the time and it worked out great. If I was flying in to Orlando and not renting a car, I would just stay inside the park. Seems like the WDW shuttles come very often. Another interesting thing about the shuttles. The WDW shuttles have a much closer drop off point then other outside shuttles. We had a great time and are already planning to go back in the fall.
