If you're refering to areas where HOTWIRE states "examples of 2* suppliers include..." then you should ignore that. Many hotel brands fit into multiple star categories depending upon the individual property (ie- when it was last renovated, awards won within the chain, comparable hotels in the area, etc, etc)

I agree, best guess for the above would be the La Quitna.
