Hotwire Hotel: Help with 5* ... am I looking too early?

I'm trying to book 5 rooms for a group of friends headed to Vegas. We want a 5* on the Strip. I see lots of wins on the forum between $100 and $125, but I have been looking for a while and have not seen anything under $158. :)

Am I trying to book too early? Booking more rooms affecting my prices? I'm open to any ideas.

I don't belive that you try to book to early. That weekend is a bit expensive, and dates are rate specific so you can't compare them.

You should put in your parameters for a HOTWIRE search and see what results you get for 5 rooms. How big is your party?

Searching HOTWIRE for 5 rooms/10adults shows a 5* hotel in the Central Strip zone for $164/nite with:

Casino, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa

Group opinion is now anything up to $159. Of course, now HOTWIRE prices are up to $199 for 5*. Worried now that I've waited too long.

I don't see the 4* Central Strip property above when searching HOTWIRE for your dates for 5rooms/10people?

Are you still seeing this property on your own HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for 5 rooms? How many adults/children (i'm assuming no children but thought i'd ask anyway to make sure we have it right) are you including on your search? How many adults/children will you actually be?
