I had to be in Bethesda for work last week. While this is my first post in this forum, I am not new to PRICELINE. I know $126 seems like a lot, but I had been trying for about 4 days prior too my trip. The AAA rate for this hotel was $239 for these dates. For whatever reason, many of the hotels were full. I inched up my bidding and even got rejected up to $120 for a 3*. Day before my trip I did the $126 bid which was accepted.

Here is the interesting part - The hotel slid a bill under my door with the Priceline wholesale rate which I was not supposed to see.

Here is the information:

Room Charge = 123.28 + 7.40 room Tax + 8.63 OCC tax (*2 nights) = 278.60

What I paid through PL=

Offer Price = $252 (2 nights) + 45.24 tax/fees = 297.24

So, PRICELINE made $25.24 gross.
