albanach
One bid, so don't know if this could have been lower.I'm happy enough though. This looks like a decent suite and the free breakfast saves a little on many other 3* hotels. Link to comment

albanach
One bid, so don't know if this could have been lower.I'm happy enough though. This looks like a decent suite and the free breakfast saves a little on many other 3* hotels.Sorry - not sure how I missed the hotel name! It was the Embassy Suites. One word of warning. The female receptionist on the phone was grumpy to the point of being rude, refusing point blank to even consider a request for a specific room type (2 beds). She offered no explanation other than to say with Priceline you get what you get and they never change the room.I'm well aware that they have that right, and if the hotel was at or near capacity (which it didn't appear to be) I'd be relaxed about it. I've stayed with a wide range of hotels through priceline and never experienced that attitude or rule. At the Sheraton I even managed to book the wrong night and they honoured it without fuss. It seems strange that if other room types are available, not to offer a guest the most suitable one - especially if they're calling the evening of their stay when the other rooms are unlikely to be filled.Nonetheless, the hotel was nice and the guy at the front desk when we checked in was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked. Link to comment
