dskung Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 I am staying over in London on my way to and from Australia in November.I have already booked my hotel on my outbound stay in London on Priceline. It was my very first Priceline bid. The hotel I booked is 3* The Paddington Hotel. The bidding price is $70 plus taxes and service charge. I am trying to bid my inbound stay in London now. I read some of the members here stayed at the Holiday Inn Forum for $75. I tried to bid the same price, but it was rejected. I also tried to bid any 3* hotels in the Kensington, Notting Hill areas for $60 and it was aslo rejected and Priceline told me to add $22 more to accept my bid. Is US$60 too low for a 3* hotel in central London? Thanks in advance!David
thereuare Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding!Let's keep this thread for your reported win of the Paddington and please start a new thread for your inbound stay... this makes it easier for users to see each hotel won and other pertinent information in the subject line.As prices fluctuate from day to day, in that new post please include the date of your stay and then we'll be able to better advise as to an appropriate price. (please also add the date of this Paddington stay and zone within London that it is located in as a reply to this post and i'll then add it to the subject line)Thanks. dskung Posted September 19, 2004 Author Report Posted September 19, 2004 thereuare, can you delete this thread because I just posted a new one.David
thereuare Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 If it's ok with you i'll keep this thread and have designated it for the first part of your stay (as reflected in the subject line of the post) and have designated the other thread for the second part of your stay (as reflected in the subject line of that post). This format (one win per thread) has worked well for us since it makes it easy to read by just scanning the post titles and also helps show the frequency that hotels appear.Any problems with the above let me know.
