I am new to this but think i have a good understanding of the whole process except for one thing..

how do you search for hotels offered under each star? in all the forums people have listings saying ID this hotel for $x in aa.. how do they find this info out without actually bidding??

one more question.. i have gathered if you want a lower star rating i.e. 1* or 2* its best to prob just book using the hotel website or something as you dont get as big a discount.. in general, the higher the star rating the bigger the saving right??

Also can i have help with an ID for a 3.5* in Waikiki beach area (same dates) for $109

The Waikiki Central property is a match for the Outrigger Luana Waikiki while the Waikiki Beach property is a match for the Aston Waikiki Beach so that would be our best guess for each.

i need an ID for a 3* hotel in central waikiki for 7/7-15/7 its $73

it only lists amenties as near beach, pool, laundry..

any ideas?

im hoping for the aqua waikiki wave...

The 3* above matches previous reports for the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel so that would be my best guess.

is the Aqua Waikiki Waves hotel no longer available thru priceline? you cant book it normally ontheir site?? does anyone know if you bid it will still come up maybe?? for a 3* central waikiki??

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.

There are no "announcements" made when a hotel stops working with PRICELINE on the bidding side, so there is no way to know if a hotel is no longer available thru the "name your own price" side of their service. However, i'd use caution trying to use the retail side of PRICELINE to determine what's available thru the name your own price side of PRICELINE, as per the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

Using the PRICELINE link i bid last night and won the Sheraton Resort in Waikiki for $99 7/13-7/16

Also bid for a 3* in waikiki central for 7/7-7/12 and won the Aqua Surf and Spa for $68!

was very happy with both wins!
