MadFlyer Posted May 3, 2009 Author Report Posted May 3, 2009 Just wanted to add for future reference that this hotel charged the Zurich City TAX for priceline room. I always have to pay that when I stay for free on miles at the Radisson BLU, but was surprised to pay a TAX with a Priceline room. I will stay in Geneva next weekend again at the NH. While it is another 'Canton' of Switzerland, they have a similar system and they did not charge me on my last stay, nor would they produce a folio printout... "to prove I was here" upon check-out. They tend to do this when they do not know how to hide the priceline or award night rate from the folio. The tax was only 5 CHF per day or around $4.40, but wonder what priceline would think of calling it a tax and even printing that on the folio... ?Cant really complain as they upgraded me to club level... (with no weekend services) and recorded my Marriott Rewards stays. The Sunday Brunch was pathetic for the 65 CHF or $57.20 they wanted, but still better than the Radisson BLU at 69 CHF or $60.40 with less. Hotel connected by tram 11 and 10 (direct from Airport) to Glattpark stop, hotel behind Renault dealership. Good trick is to take the quick connection to Airport to change to direct trains into center city or the 20 minute tram 11 which stops at 12:30 am.
