nanother Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Hi,I will be in Phoenix 5/15/09 - 5/17/09 and I am looking at Scottsdale hotels on Hotwire. There is a 4.5 in Scottsdale for $118Amenities:ResortFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesTrip Advisor rating 4.0 out of 5, with 40+ reviews, which matches the Intercontinental Montelucia. However, previous posters have booked this hotel on Hotwire for stays in May at less than $100/night.Does anyone think this could be a different hotel, or is it worth waiting to see if the price comes back down? Thanks in advance for any advice!
nanother Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 I followed Hotwire for awhile and this listing went up to $121, and then came back down to $119. I don't know if it will come back down to $99 as others reported, but I decided to go ahead and book it at $119(I used the link from this site.) It did turn out to be the Intercontinental Montelucia.
thereuare Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results.Rates are date specific, so if demand (and therefore hotel direct rates) are higher than usual for your dates, it stands to reason that HOTWIRE rates will be higher than usual as well.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase. (and pease read your messages)Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
nanother Posted May 6, 2009 Author Report Posted May 6, 2009 I booked too soon - today the same hotel shows up on HOTWIRE for $91.
