Frrrank! Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 I have read about the dreaded Pricleine rooms at the St. Francis- I'll follow up after my stay and let you know how it goes.
AaronJB Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Congrats on your success!Thank you for posting your win - I haven't heard about "priceline" rooms at this property, but hope that things turn out differently on your stay there. Please use the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start future purchases.Enjoy your stay.
Frrrank! Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 I have read on Tripadvisor and Yelp about about the St Francis giving Priceline customers the worst rooms in the hotel available - not renovated, near construction, behind the elevator, view of brick wall etc. I'll see what happens tomorrow after I check in.
cliffu Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I will be there on Tuesday using PRICELINE, I hope it goes well and I will check this thread to see. Good luck!
Frrrank! Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 Ok so when I checked in yesterday, I gave the gentleman at the front desk my Starwood number - I then asked for a renovated king room on a higher floor. He told me that priceline rooms are smaller and near the elevators. I then asked for an upgrade; there was cost $35. I took him up on his offer and got a beautiful corner king on the 25 floor. IMO it was worth the extra expense. Good luck to all the St. Francis priceline folks out there - from the looks of things on this board there's a lot out there.
thereuare Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Guess another way to look at it is a winning bid of $105 but a 'true' 4* experience :)Thanks for the follow-up and glad you enjoyed your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
