Actually I need two rooms - however when searching for two rooms that same hotel won't show up. What does one do?

Can you please run a new search and double check this.

I can't get the 4* to apprear when i did the search 1 room/2 adults/1 child. I only see a 3.5* for your dates.

However, doing a search on 2 rooms/2 adults/1 child makes a 4* appear with diffrent TA details than yours (3.5/5 - 240)

Sure - just checked. When searching for 1 room/2 adults/1 child - it comes up $59,- (4* TA details 4.0/5 - 260+). And you are right when searching for two rooms, another 4* appears with TA details as below (3.5/5 - 240)

Problem is that I really need two rooms. Can you try to book the same room from two different PC at the same time?

Then I would like to know whether this is the Mariott Courtyard or the Hilton Doubletree Fallsview Resort and Spa - the only two hotels I can find on TripAdvisor that matches these details. Am I correct?

The hotel may have only made one room available to HOTWIRE which is why it no longer appears when searching for two rooms. It would be a risk to try to purchase one room and then hope that the same offer re-appears on your subsequent search. Even if you have two computers have this offer open at the same time and click the "BUY" button simultaneously, the first order could go thru and the second receive the message that the offering is no longer available.

Are you willing to risk the rooms being at two different hotels?

What are the amenities of the hotel offered when searching for two rooms? Is the price substantially higher than when searching for one room... why not just focus on the hotel that does appear for your two room search?

Yes, I understand - ah we would rather like to stay at the same hotel. So probably the option at the moment is to investigate the 4-star with two rooms available. Any help on id'ing that would sure be appreciated.

Well, based on reviews on TripAdvisor, I would rather not stay at the Fallsview Plaza. What are my options at this point if we want a 4-star? Should I just wait and see what else shows up? Or would PRICELINE be an option?

You can try searching HOTWIRE for more than double occupany per room, although at the moment doing so for your dates i don't see any 4* hotels offered.

With PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you select. While the Fallsview Plaza Hotel has not yet been reported to the board, while it was a Renaissance it was rated 4*, so unless this star rating has been lowered with the change of ownership, how would you intend to avoid this particular property if you bid on PRICELINE?

I see - well probably just wait for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Anyway we are not going to Niagara Falls until November, so there should be plenty of time. I will post back, when reaching a decision.

Ended up going the Hotwire route.

Got the Fallsview Plaza Hotel, which I wasn't too fond of from the beginning ... 57$

Tripadvisor rating on Hotwire slightly out of sync with actual Tripadvisor site.

Anyway the price is surely not too high, so hopefully this will be okay anyway.
