tjm0031 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Hi,I'm obviously very new to the bidding game. I see how you guys see amenities on HOTWIRE but I'm not sure where to look on PRICELINE to see them so I can post and get a verification on what I'm bidding on. Please help and let me know where to look on PRICELINE for this info. Thanks
tjm0031 Posted April 24, 2009 Author Report Posted April 24, 2009 Hi,ANy guess for the following amenities on hotwire for 4* for $122. dates are 10/24/09-10/25/09 (one night pre-cruise)Amenities:ResortBeachfrontCasinoPoolRestaurantsBusiness centerlaundry facilities (hotwire says its coin-operated) that probably rules out at least the IC??high-speed internettennis nearbyspa servicesThanks for the help
Romelle Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Sorry, but PRICELINE doesn't show hotel amenities. Might be why Hotline can get by with typically charging a little more.RomellePS- But, welcome here! Hope to hear more from you.
slruud Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Sorry, but PRICELINE doesn't show hotel amenities. Might be why Hotline can get by with typically charging a little more.Hotline!!!! Don't tell me they merged.
thereuare Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't seen it yet, this is a good place to start: I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire as it explains the similiarities, and differences, between the two services. The amenities of the HOTWIRE property you posted above match those of the Inter-Continental so that would be our best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help with any questions you have regarding the above. tjm0031 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 Hi,I thought I'd update my trip planning. I opted to try out PRICELINE. I selected the San Juan region and selected "Resort" level to name my own price. My bid history is as follows:$95-rejected$101-rejected$102-won the Intercontinental. I'm very pleased with my 1st experience on PRICELINE so far. Hotwire I think was offering it for $122 and if you book directly I think the cheapest room there was about $214 for my dates of 10/24/09-10/25/09Thanks for all the help. I'm not sure how to add my win to the win Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins but feel free to post it there if you'd like.

tjm0031 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 I do have one more question if you don't mind. Do you happen to know round about what the extra resort fees/taxes will be at the San Juan IC? I keep hearing about this and I am not sure what to expectThanks
