pekkleiv Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Please help with a bidding strategy for Newport RI. We would like to stay in Newport/Newport Beach from 5/22 to 5/24. We prefer a 3* hotel. I don't know if we would be able to get a good deal being that it is Memorial Day weekend. But any deal is better than paying full price. We will have a total of 8 people (2 kids-11 & 12 yo) plus 2 infants. Would we be able to get by with booking 2 rooms or do we need 3? I will be calling the hotel directly after winning to request for cribs. Thanks in advance for the help.

pekkleiv Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 When I search on HOTWIRE for 2 rooms and 8 occupants, they list only 2* hotel for $142 in the Newport-Middletown-Jamestown areas. I am not sure what the avg rate would be for that time period being that is it a holiday weekend. I would be willing to pay about $60-$80.
