Priceline Hotel: Bidding stragety for 10/11 to 10/15

can you help me with a stragety for these dates, i would want to stay at the hyatt jersey city(*3), my budget is 100.00 per night, i might stay an extra night if i can get a cheap rate

I'm assuming your PRICELINE NEW YORK CITY bid failed? If so, please update that post with your 'results'... even if it's failed and that you'll now be trying for Jersey City. This at least gives the thread some closure and future users won't simply see a bidding strategy offered and then wonder what happened.

There is no way to guarantee the Hyatt... there is a also a known 3* DoubleTree in the area. Are you willing to accept either?

yeah i might even settle for 2.5candlewood, do the doubletree and hyatt have the same amenities?how could i tell which is which?

Are you looking at Hotwire or Priceline?

Priceline you bid and don't know anything except star level... Hotwire shows you price and amenities.

You may want to review: I'VE NEVER USED PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.

Then there is no way to distinguist between the Hyatt and the Doubletree.

I think you're going to have a tough time getting the Hyatt. It is generally a business hotel and mid-week dates are harder to come by than weekends.

You have no re-bids available at the 3* level.

I would try for 3* at $40.

If that's rejected (most likely) post back if you'd like to try for a 2.5* or wait it out 72 hours.
