EastCoastHereWeCome Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 We are flying into BWI (Baltimore) on June 1, 2009. Here is what I'm looking for:- A hotel for June 1, 2 and 3rd.- We want to see the capitol, the museums, etc. I would prefer a hotel that has a free breakfast. - There are 5 of us: 2 adults and 3 kids. I would consider risking only getting one bed and putting the kids on the floor, but would prefer 2 beds.- We will not be renting a car but will be using public transportation.- Max bid per night: $70Thanks! Any other Washington DC tips would be greatly appreciated. I have never been so I feel a bit lost.
AaronJB Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I think the issue is that a free breakfast is something that you can only try for on HOTWIRE. I'm not particularly familiar with DC, but unfortunately, when I look up 2 adults/2 kids, one cheaper option I see is a 3* in the Bethesda/Silver Spring area for $56, but I'm not sure what kind of transportation there is from this outlying area. There's also a 3* with breakfast (as well as a number of other amenities) in the Chantilly/Dulles IAD South area for $55, but again, not sure what the public transit in DC is like. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link. Hopefully a local can chime in with a discussion of what the public transit options are in DC.
EastCoastHereWeCome Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Posted April 17, 2009 I'd like a 3* hotel near Union Station.
