The 4* could be either the Hyatt, Delta or Embassy Suites.

The 3.5* would be a possible match for the Holiday Inn Midtown.

The 4* Hotwire Amenities indicated that there is no pool.

The Delta and the Hyatt both have indoor pools and the Embassy Suites does not.

However the Hotwire details also says the tripavisor rating is 3.5 out of 5 - that applies to all 3 However it also says 180+ posts as of March 2009 and that only fits the Hyatt - the other 2 are less.

From your experience - which is most likely to be accurate - the amenities listed on Hotwire or the tripadvisor info?

If HOTWIRE amenities do not indicate a pool, it does not necessarily mean the hotel does not have a pool (this goes for any amenity.)

Tripadvisor ratings are not kept entirely up-to-date on HOTWIRE.

The Hyatt would appear to be the most likely of the three, but there is still the off chance of the other two.

I bid $62 on the 4* through PRICELINE and was accepted - it was the Hyatt - very please thanks for the help.

Yes it was a 4 star for the zone Montreal Downtown and yes I used the PRICELINE link.

Is this the same hotel: Hyatt Montreal as this previous links seem to indcate the Hyatt is currently rated 3.5* by PRICELINE. :)

I am curious to see if this was confirmed because if it was booked as a 4* and not the 3.5* listed it would change things for the hotels I am booking.

The OP says s/he bid 4* but THIS LINK seems to indicate 3.5*... so take your pick :) (i'm inclined to think 3.5* but until it's reported to the board again can't be certain)

EDIT TO ADD: assuming it was posted the day won, this Priceline Montreal Hyatt win was made two days after this purchase and reported as a 3.5*
