Pat Barclay
Listed amenities are:SuiteFitness CenterBusiness CenterLaundryHigh Speed InternetGolf NearbyTennis NearbyKitchenetteHotwire lists this as a 2* for $42 for the dates of 9/26/09 - 9/28/09. I'd normally think that the Residence Inn would merit a 2.5*, but this Residence Inn actually has a tennis court on site. This has me thinking that this 2* property is the Residence Inn.Other possibilities might be:LivInn Suites in Fridley (rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen sink, but otherwise no stove or cooktop)Super 8 in Arden Hills (rooms have refrigerator or mini-fridge and microwave, but not all rooms at this hotel are suites)Any thoughts or other possibilities as to what this $42 2* property might be? Want to have a good idea before I book...Residence Inn at that price would be sweet! Link to comment
Colfax
I haven't tried to ID the property but I've never seen a Residence Inn rated 2* on Hotwire. Even 2.5* would be unusual. Usually they're 3*.Based on the Suite amenity I think the LivInn Suites are more likely than the Super 8, and the Residence Inn doesn't seem likely at all.The Golf and Tennis icons don't mean those activities are offered by the hotel. Only that they're in the vicinity. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you purchase and let us know what you get. Link to comment
Romelle
Any chance it is the Fairfield Inn? I know there is one in the area. Romelle Link to comment
Colfax
Hi, Romelle. The mystery hotel has a Kitchenette icon and the Fairfield's website doesn't mention kitchenettes. Some Fairfields are called "Fairfield Inn & Suites" rather than "Fairfield Inn". When "Suite" is in the name at least some rooms will have kitchenettes. The Fairfield in Roseville looks like it's a vanilla Fairfield Inn without kitchenettes.I looked at Pat Barclay's 2* listing just now, which I hadn't done before. No TripAdvisor stats are given and I can't find it in Vacation Packages. I did find the Residence Inn Roseville in Vacation Packages though and it's rated 3*. I don't know what the 2* is but it's definitely not the Residence Inn then. Link to comment

bonjovifreak
This is the Livinn Suites Fridley. We booked this for one night in March and it was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! It reeked of cigarette smoke, was dirty, had strange clientelle to say the least. If you look at Tripadvisor for this hotel, we left a review with pictures (reviewer-Bonjovifreak). I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel. You are not put up in the new part of the hotel, which looks great, but in the old part, which I guess makes sense given the price you pay.
