Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville) Hyatt Regency

First, just want to say thanks to all the ppl that participate in this forum and update info, it's been really helpful.

Unfortunately, I'm not the happiest with my hotel outcome - I knew that it was going to be between a few hotels when we were looking at the listed 4* in Streeterville. Amenities included:

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-speed Internet Access

This brought the list of potential hotels to included Hard Rock, Hotel Felix, Sheraton, Westin River North, Swissotel & Hyatt. Hyatt was our absolute last choice but we took the gamble, and lost :) I guess that's just how the game works. I had a strange feeling when I clicked on the listed 4* $86 hotel and there was no Trip Advisor rating next to the map... does that happen often? I didn't know if they do that when the rating isn't that good for the hotel or if the hotel chooses not to post the rating.

In any case, we got the hotel that feels the least like a hotel (it's more like an airport really, since it's used for conferences mostly). We'll just be more cautious next time - learned our lesson.

BTW we used the HOTWIRE link posted in the forum - glad I was able to support the forum in some way.

Pretty good summary of this property. Sorry to hear that it wasn't what you were hoping for, but at least on a positive note, this hotel is pretty well located just off Michigan Ave. on the river.
