joelmr Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 I chose 3-star because I was hoping for either the Marriott Residence or Doubletree, they both have free internet, but I ended up at the Crowne Plaza instead, which I thought was a 3.5-star. I opened my bidding at $50, which was rejected, but they said to up it by $14 and I'd get something, so I did. I booked two rooms at this price, taxes and fees totaled $74.Thanks for providing this service, I was able to cancel my previous reservation (at the Sleep Inn) for these dates and save about $300. And yes, I did use the PRICELINE clickthrough link on this site.-Joel
AaronJB Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Congrats on your success and welcome to the site. :)Thank you for posting your win and using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase. While it's too bad you didn't get what you were hoping for, this still looks like a great deal for the Crowne Plaza.Enjoy your stay.
joelmr Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Posted April 17, 2009 We just checked in, and I'm thrilled. The room is beautiful, the front desk people were very friendly and helpful, there's free internet (which I wasn't expecting), and the parking is half the price I saw listed on the Crowne Plaza website ($10 instead of $20). So, all in all, a very positive experience. Plus, we just had lunch at Gus's Fried Chicken, which is still awesome. Thanks again.-Joel
