broadbill626 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Hi- My wife and I need a hotel room from June 11-June 13th 2009 . I would really like to be close to fenway (walking would be ideal) I just signed up with priceline and put $80 bid for fenway park area and Copley Square as well.I was denied. What are the other areas that are close to Fenway. I really wanted to stay at a Bed and breakfast but they're too expensive so I'm opting for modern clean safe neighborhood and close to fenway. Is Brighton close.I don't want to check other areas and end up 10 miles from the park.Sorry for rambling. Thanks GO SOX!
yellowdog Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I wish i could help you with Boston but i don't know the area very well. The best advice i have for you is to look at the PRICELINE maps for Boston and determ the the zone(s) you're willing to stay in.Maybe we have a member that can help you better than i can. also take a look at HOTWIRE as an option for your stay.Yellowdog.

It's about 4 miles away. It is not the best hotel or in the most convenient location.. I would try to be to get a hotel in downtown Boston. Most of the downtown areas are walkable to Fenway or easily accessible by the T (subway system). There have been a lot of successful bids for less than a $125 for 4 and 4.5 star hotels through Hotwire in the downtown area. You will be happy in the Back Bay, Copley, Boston Common, Theater District, Quincy Market, or Financial District. If there are no bids available for these areas then go to Cambridge, Waterfront or Brighton. The only advantage of the Days Hotel is that most Brighton hotels offer free parking (except for the Double Tree Hotel) which is a rarity in a city that charges $40 per night to park at most of the downtown hotels. Go Sox and have a great time in Boston!
thestugots Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Appears that hotwire returns a 3.5* in Back Bay for your dates for $109. It's likely the Sheraton Back Bay or Hilton Back Bay...both are walking distance to Fenway and hotels that are "wife friendly" (I know Boston places near Fenway where I will stay with the boys but would never check in with the missus.)$109 is pretty good for a decent place near Fenway on dates when the Sox are at home.
