pantoo Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Hi...It is my first time bidding on Priceline. I came across a clause which says that "All rooms will accommodate up to 2 adults. Requests for bed types (King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including preferences for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed." I need a room for 4 adults. Can I go ahead to book it? Or is there another way to do it?Thanks in advance.
AaronJB Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 You can go ahead and try to bid, but there's no guarantee you will get more than 1 bed, especially in major cities/areas. You would have to work with the hotel on bedding - they may say yes to two beds, they may not. If not, then you would either have to work around it (sleeping bag?, rollaway?) or book conventionally. Please use the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase.
tilepusher Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 There's no way to guarantee a room suitable for 4 adults by bidding on Priceline. Hotwire gives you the option of booking a room for 4 adults. If you can't find anything you like there, you may have to book through non-opaque channels. However, you may want to consider bidding for 2 rooms on Priceline, which may still be cheaper (and less cramped) than booking one room direct from the hotel.
