rkkwan Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 We need several rooms for attending a wedding in Plano, and some need to stay two nights, others one. Therefore Hotwire is preferred over Priceline, though it's probably a little more expensive.Tax & fees for one room for two nights is $20.95; for three rooms for one night is $28.95.Amenities is exactly as described on this website. And only 4* with exact some ones in Park Central. So, no surprise there.- Restaurant(s)- Pool(s)- Fitness Center- Business CenterI called the hotel, and in-and-out self-park is $8/day. In-and-out valet is $15/day.Best rate on Westin's own website for those dates are $119.
thereuare Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Each service has its purpose and this was a perfect example of when Hotwire is a better choice.Looks like you saved the group quite a bit of money... and everyone got the same hotel too! Thanks for sharing your win with the rest of the board.Enjoy your stay and have a fun time at the wedding. rkkwan Posted October 23, 2004 Author Report Posted October 23, 2004 I just added two more rooms for two nights 11/20 to 11/22. Same price as before. $49 + tax. $229.95 all in.
thereuare Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 ... yet another example of when Hotwire is a good option :) I will reiterate that i'm not biased towards either Priceline or Hotwire, but do feel that there is a time and place for each service.
