Hi, i am new to Hotwire/Priceline type of sites and way of purchasing accomadation.

I need to stay at a specific Hotel, and i think after trying to cross refernce the facilities shown and the individual hotels listed that are available with thier websites that, i may have found a match for the one i need to stay in.

Using your link here to Hotwire i have put in a search for accomadation for the days 5/18 - 5/26 in the Orlando Universal area of Florida.

I need to stay at the Double Tree at Orlando at the enterance to Universal.

This is for a conference ( not work, more hobby) and as i am from Australia the flights alone will mean i wont be able to afford car hire.

Can anyone give advice as to if they think the hotel advertised at 46.oo @ night in this 3 star catagory, in the orlando Universal i trolley area will be the Double Tree?

Can i risk booking it? is there any scope to emailing Hotwire and asking the probability without getting them to straight out tell me if its the one? :)

Any advice would be greatful, :) Thanks so much

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I wouldn't advice you to use PRICELINE for this. The Double Tree is not one of the frequent hotels in this zone.

Double Tree is rated 3.5* on HOTWIRE with the latest report the board have.

I took a look for your dates on HOTWIRE and the hotel i see in this zone is not the Double Tree .

How big is the conference? Do they have any special conference rates? If yes, when is the last date to book this?

Thoughts?

Thanks for the info Yellowdog.

I am a bit confused though.

Following the HOTWIRE link here i narrowed down the area searches by only ticking the universal i rdrive north route box in the left hand side area box.

it then gave me a list of possible hotels in this universal area.

For the Double tree that i thought fit the description it was the 2nd listing at 43.00 a night.( 3 star)

The amenities listed in symbols stated pool and high speed internet access ( fee may apply) ( these are correct as 10.00 @ day is charged for the in room access but free in the main lobby public areas.

The other hotel options listed as universal was a (3 1/2 star) and ( 3 star )

The reason that i think that these can not be the double tree is that they are listed as condos ( double tree does not have any according to thiewr website)

The parking is listed as free ( there is a 12.00 @ day self park charge at the double tree listed on thier website)

And lastly they both offer kitchen/suite nad condo facilities (which Double tree do not)

And i on the right track or am i not able to see all the hotels listed? that you may be seeing?

Double tree is most listed at 3 star and other sites seem to list it as 3 star as well.

Any further help would be appreciated greatly.

Does anyone know if you can contact hotwire via email to verify hotels if you need to stay at a particular one?

cheers, from Down Under :)
