hcm Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Bid $40 for 4* in Strip North - rejected with counteroffer of $88 (get bent! no way)Added Strip South, Bid $40 again - rejected with counteroffer of "Priceline Specials" (ignored this too)Added Boulder Strip (dummy zone; they have no 4*) and bid $45 - rejectedAdded Nellis (another dummy zone) and bid $55 - accepted by Luxor.I have to get another room tomorrow, so I plan to try to snag it for $50, but I doubt it will work because if they were at $50, I would have expected a counteroffer on my $45 bid.Oh, and I used the betterbidding link to PRICELINE to make my bids.
AaronJB Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your results with the board and detailing your strategy - looks like a very good win for these dates. Thanks for using the site's PRICELINE link.Have a great trip.
Paolo Maldini Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Just came back from Vegas. I also got Luxor with $55 on 15Apr. I have to say it's a very OLD hotel! Room quality is much lower than Planet Hollywood, which I got with $50 bet. Hope you could get a better one in your next bidding!
