Priceline Hotel: 4* Orlando (Universal Studios - SeaWorld) The Peabody

I landed The Peabody yesterday for a same-day, 1-nite stay. Winning Priceline bid was $85.

Note that this hotel only offers valet parking ($20) and there is mandatory "Hotel Service Fee" of $15 that included internet access.

Out the door with taxes looks like this:

Room $85 + 19.03 = $104.03

Parking $20 + 1.30 = 21.03

Service Fee $15 + .98 = 15.98

Total: $141.04

I'm not complaining, but I've done much better for Orlando in the past. If I needed to be in the Convention Center area on business, this would be great, but that's not the case.

(Lost bids were $70 and $80 for WDW Vicinity.)

Yes, it's a bummer with parking and resort fee at $35. Many hotels make an extra buck like this. But you gotta love the ducks :)
