Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (USW-Nob Hill) Parc 55

So, I'm heading out to SF next week, my itinerary changed a bit at the last minute, and I needed a room for next Thursday. Read some posts here, and decided that USW would be a good place to look. Parc 55 seems convenient and nice, so I was shooting for that.

Tried 4* in USW for $60 . . . no dice. So I raised the price to $70, and added 3.5*, since there are no 3.5* hotels in USW. Still nothing. So I raised the price to $75 and added San Francisco South, since the hotels there go no higher than 3*, meaning I was still only looking at 4* hotels in USW. Accepted. Pretty happy with it overall.

Big thanks to this site. This is the first time I've bid on a room, and I have to say I'm pretty happy.

Careful! As PRICELINE does allow 3.5* bidding in this zone you should assume that there is a 3.5* property there... even if not have yet been reported to the board. (see the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List)

Ultimately this looks like it worked out quite well for you and that is what really matters in the end, but feel free to ask for help next time around to confirm your bidding strategy, just to make sure you don't end up in a zone or star rating you didn't intend.
