wildanimalpark Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I have two offers for the five star.. $189 for two people but has the "spa" icon (Venetion or Wynn) but when I increase the number to four I get an offer of $232 all amenities except "spa"..Palazzo????? These are both Central strip.Should I wait several more days or book now? For some reason the rates for this weekend are out of site. Tiger Woods has the Manadaly/ THE hotel booked for Tiger Jam 111 but what else is going on for such high "Hotwire " prices????Thanks for any ideas on booking a 5* central strip hotel.Wildanimalpark
AaronJB Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Welcome to the site. There's no way of knowing for sure whether or not prices will come down closer to your dates - that's a question that gets asked a great deal on this board, and there's no exact answer - if it's a busy set of dates and more people start booking, prices may very well go higher. Not sure what is going on this particular weekend that HOTWIRE prices are as high as they are, because while regular rates are high, they don't seem as bad as HOTWIRE rates would indicate. In terms of regular rates, I know this is the hotel that everyone seems to want to avoid, but the Trump is $159 on Orbitz and you get a $50 spa credit. Plus, use coupon code FABSAVE10 for 10% off = $143.10 per night. Plus, if there's any women in your party, the $50 spa credit will earn some points. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchase.
hotelchick Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 There is a really large real estate convention from Sunday 5/17 until Wed 5/20 that has all of the hotels at their higher prices.
wildanimalpark Posted April 18, 2009 Author Report Posted April 18, 2009 I received the Venetian for $233 per night for six guest and two rooms 5/15. Total charges were $1017.37The icon for internet was shown so I was sure it would be Palazzo. I am happy for the Venetian.I used your link.

wildanimalpark Posted April 18, 2009 Author Report Posted April 18, 2009 It is for two nights. 5/15 to 5/17Amenities were Casino, Fitness, Pool, Rest., Business, internet, golf, Tennis, icons shown and when you click on all amenities spa shows up there I thought this was how Palazzo was displayed previously but now it applies to the Venetian as well. The price did come down from $269. I received several emails from Hotwire saying prices in Vegas had been reduced and booked it then.
thereuare Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Thanks for the follow-up!Actually, i don't think the Palazzo has ever been reported with that amenity combination, so the Venetian would have been the best likely outcome.Enjoy your stay. wildanimalpark Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 Follow-up on our stay. We arrived at the Venetian and found that Hotwire booked the cheaper "Luxory" suite that has a King bed and a pullout coach. I had to pay an additional $25. per night per room to get two real beds. I would have done better booking through the Venetian and receving a coupon booklet for additional savings at the resort. I am aware that Hotwire does not guarantee beds but never imagined that would ever apply at a five star all siute property with two beds available. Some how this just seems wrong to charge more for additional people and still give them a room with a single bed.
thereuare Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Some how this just seems wrong to charge more for additional people and still give them a room with a single bed.At their own website, the Venetian charges more for more than double occupancy as well as for a room with two beds.
