Hello,

Can any of you recommend good hotels for Paris site seeing (maybe 4* level) - maybe suggested bids and areas? We don't know much about the area, and are pretty flexible, so any advice you can give. I see that other bidders have gotten prices in the low $100 range. Thanks, and I'll use the priceline link.

I guess our budget is approximately $135/night, so I guess we're looking for the best hotel we can get in that price range, hopefully a 4* (though we'd rather get a good location at 3* than a poor location at 4* for that price).

Keep in mind the star rating system in Europre is a little more generous then here in the States... i stayed at 3* in Paris and regretted it :)

I would start by figuring out what you want things you want to see/do and then choose your zones based upon where most of your itinerary will take you... or at least where you'll like have easy access to a subway line that runs into that area (with no transfers if possible)

The (Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West) and (St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse) seem to be the most popular, followed by (Eiffel Tower - Grenelle - Montparnasse). If you enter "Paris" (without the quotes) in the QUICK SEARCH box in the blue banner at the top of the board you'll quickly see all the reported wins in this area and it will be easy to determine which zones are purchased more frequently than others. From there you can research if these zones will work well for your own plans.

I used the PRICELINE and got

4* Paris (St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse) Marriott Rive Gauche for $126/night from May 18th-May 26th.

I'm happy with that, and the hotel seems to get good reviews.

Congratulations on your success!

I'm glad to see you decided to go for the 4* hotel. I know Paris is an expensive city, and it can be a tough hotel city given that most hotels at all star levels have some negative reviews, but it's often a bit safer going for the higher rated properties.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.
