momtoccc Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Hi - just found this site and it seems very useful :)I have following showing for my Vegas trip. I've tried looking through the other posts to see what these might be but I'm not sure..5*, Central Strip, casino, fitness, pool, restaurants, business center and spa for $124 a night4*, Central Strip, casino, fitness, pool, restaurants, business center and spa for $89 a night.I already have Flamingo reserved for this trip for a total of $229 but I have a HOTWIRE credit so I thought I would see if I could score a better hotel for a decent price. Thanks for your help!
yellowdog Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding :) It's not an easy task to ID 4* and 5* hotels in Las Vegas for the moment! HOTWIRE use many diffrent amentie combos. The amenitie combo for the 5* is reported for both Wynn and Palazzo. But the frequency for Palazzo is pretty low and Wynn is the more frequent hotel for the moment. also the Venetian could be a possibility But my best guess for the 5* would be the Wynn. I had to change the search to 4 adults (same price) to get any clues for the 4* hotel. So my best guess for this would be Treasure IslandI'm sorry for the vague answer for the 5*. But maybe admin can help us to narrow down the answer. But you have a pleasant problem :) So, we hope to se you as a posting member at the board in the future since you are a HOTWIRE user! Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for any of the hotels.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 For the 5* i'd agree with the Wynn or Palazzo as the best guess. For the 4* if you're interested in that property i'd add one child to your search which should change the icon comination to the above plus a Golf icon... just a bit 'safer' since that is the amenity combination that it has previously been reported with. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (and read your messages)Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
momtoccc Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 We did not use Hotwire or Priceline for Vegas trip - booked directly with hotel. Got a nice summer deal.I ended up using my Hotwire credit on a rental car in Florida in June. Got a great deal on Mini-van for a week in Tampa.
