joey2 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I would like to stay in a resort on waikiki beach with my maximum price of $130.I would also be happy with the Hilton on the marina but I know you cannot target specific properties.I have noticed a few wins on the calender for the marriott for $125. I would be happy with that.Should i bid for that now or should i wait for my maui resort to come through first?Im happy to split my days between 2 hotels if that helps me getting a better price or better location. Not sure if i should be posting this here so please correct me if im wrongIv noticed $38 interisland flights between oahu and maui. Should I book these before they run out or should i wait untill my hotel bookings have been confirmed.Your help with this would be much appreciated
thereuare Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Should i bid for that now or should i wait for my maui resort to come through first? Is one stay dependent upon the other?I've noticed $38 interisland flights between oahu and maui. Should I book these before they run out or should i wait untill my hotel bookings have been confirmed. If you're not successful for Resort class properties with yoru bidding, would you gameplan be to raise your maximum bid, lower your star rating, or try to adjust your dates in order to see if rates get any less expensive by shortening/extending your stay by a day or two? I haven't followed the inter-island route in awhile but i seem to recall similar deals (or even less) a few months back... if this 'sale fare' goes away do you know what normal rates are? If/when you do book airfare please note in our support page that we're an affiliate of Hawaiian Airlines and please use our link of that is the carrier you book with. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. joey2 Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 Yes one is dependent on the other. My international flight arrives in Honolulu at 7.45am 8/3 and leaves Honolulu at 9.15am 8/11, so the reason why have chosen these dates is so i can get into maui on the day I arrive and be in Waikiki for my departure eliminating incovenience if i stayed in the middle. What do you think? I suppose I could change my dates if it meant staying at better locations and saving $$$ My gameplan would be to lower my star category considering there are resort fees/parking/priceline fees/tax etc on top of $130.The reason im keen on booking these flights is that Im time specific so I don't wait to long between connecting flights on my arrival date and I've seen a few time slots in Hawaiian Airlines sold out already.
joey2 Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 oops My dates should have been 6th August (check in) and checking out on the 11th August Just double checked my itinerarySorry
