juliemiya
We're staying in Maui on 9/14 for just one night. I'd like to stay at a resort in the Kaanapali area. I really love the Sheraton. Right now, their lowest price on their website is $247 for a garden view room. Any words of wisdom?Mahalo in advance! julie Link to comment

thereuare
Sorry we missed this one and thanks for bumping it up....Keep in mind that the Sheraton is not guaranteed and the Hyatt comes up frequently, so if you're not comfortable with that then i would book directly thru MARRIOTT.You have 2 re-bid zones in this area. You didn't state your maximum bid so i'm assuming you are trying to beat the $247 rate above (for any similarly rated property). This is how i would proceed:Select Resort Ka'anapali and...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone#1 andBid $160, if rejected close that browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.Select Resort Ka'anapali and re-bid zone#2...Bid $180, if rejected add re-bid zone#1 and...Bid $200.If my assumptions above are incorrect or $200 is above you maximum bid then re-post and i'll adjust accordingly.Once again... sorry about missing your original post. juliemiya
Thank you so much for the advice! While I was listening to the crickets chirp :) ...I decided to just stay at a budget 1*. So we got the 1* Maui Seaside Hotel for $60 9/14. I bid $50, got rejected, and won on my 2nd bid of $60. Their lowest webrate was $86. Their Kamaaina rates were $72. We're visiting family in Kahului, and we have an infant, so convenience won over fluffy white (sob sob) robes and drinking delicious mai tais next to a (sob) fabulous pool. julie Link to comment
