Priceline Hotel: Miami beach help

Hi,

I just came to know about this site last night and read around to understand the concept. Also tried my hand at bidding on PRICELINE with no luck. Can some one suggest something.

Looking for 3* (upscale) and above

Check-in: 4/23

Check-out: 4/27 (is it too late to be bidding?)

Zones interested: south beach / miami beach

THis is my first visit to Miami, would love to live at a 4*

i saw postings where ppl got renaisance roc for $90. Can some one help me get a good deal.

I tried selecting the following zones:

South Beach

Miami Beach

North Miami beach

STAR level selected:

4*

3* upscale

Bids: started from 80 went up to 110 with no luck.

To start with, rates are date sensitive. So you can't compare old wins with your stay. Rates for 4* in the beach zones are very high for your dates. Do you know if some special event is going on?

I belive that a 3* hotel is more realistic If you have the $90 rate in mind. I looked at HOTWIRE and if 3* is an option is there a few places. But you have to take a look at so the zones are ok for you.

How high have you bid for a 3* vs 4*?. And what is maximum/night for a 3* vs 4* hotel?
