I'm looking at booking a 3.5/4.0 star hotel room in Midtown(MTE, MTW, MTC) for 3 nights May 15-18.

My budget would be 120-140$ a night. Any suggestion??

HOTWIRE has a 3.5* in Times Square w/the amenities boutique, breakfast, pool, business, spa for $139 (the price you see may vary.) That would be a likely match for the Room Mate Grace. That would be towards the high end of your budget, but at least breakfast is included and reviews are good.

You could also try for a bid for a 4* in Midtown East starting around $100, then working up by $5 (if $100 isn't taken, $105, $110, etc) Given the Intercontinental Barclay's $191 regular rate for these dates, I wouldn't go too high with the bidding, and figure the potential price floor is likely around $100.
