Dalm0m Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Last summer while planning our honeymoon I was getting very discouraged about hotel prices in Paris. I had already booked the tickets & was about to suck it up & pay over $300 per night for a 2 star dump when in desperation I tried Priceline for the 1st time. I was shocked & terrified when I got a notice on the 1st try about 3 months out that my winning bid of $150 per night was accepted. I knew nothing about this board at time or maybe things would have been even cheaper. Even though the hotel is in the 14th district it's on a metro line & was just fine for us. I am a true believer now & am looking forward to saving even more money in the future.

marnie_g Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I am also new to bidding and amazed at the savings I'm making - Amsterdam - Prague however we stayed in the 7th arondisment at Holel des Ecoles in Paris at 135E - yep probably 2 star as far as amenities - but wonderful for Paris - more a villa with gardens than a hotel. I agree the saving are great on PRICELINE however make sure you get the experience you want. Cheers, Marnie
Dalm0m Posted April 1, 2009 Author Report Posted April 1, 2009 I don't remember exactly when I bid; it was late August. We stayed at the hotel from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25.
