Priceline Hotel: 4* Vancouver (Downtown) Hyatt Regency

This is my first time using this site. I am trying to book a hotel in Vancouver July 14-16 for 2 adults, 2 kids.

On HOTWIRE, there is a 5* for $183 with pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, spa and fitness. Is Sutton Place the only 5*?

There is also a 4* for $135 with fitness, pool, restaurant, high speed and business center. How do you know which hotel it is and what an appropriate bid should be?

I'm not sure if you understand the differences between PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. With HOTWIRE (what you inquired about above) they show you the star rating, zone, amenities, adn price... you choose to either accept one of hotels offered or not, there is no bidding involved.

PRICELINE is where you choose the zone, minimum star rating, and offer a price... they either accept that bid and you now own the room for those nite(s) or your bid is rejected.

I'm also looking at a summer Vancouver trip.

Scanning this board, I saw that the Vancouver West 5* hotel is most likely Sutton, but could be the Pan Pacific:
