Should I just wait it out? I can get the Condado right now for $145 a night from 5/14-5/19. Am I wasting my time waiting to get a deal on the Intercontinental? 4-star hotel in San Juan AreaThis hotel features the following amenities: Casino Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Tennis Nearby Spa Services
thereuare Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Am I wasting my time waiting to get a deal on the Intercontinental?HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level in each zone (the least expensive) so for the Inter-Continental to appear one of the following woudl need to occur:-the current offering would need to sell all of their inventory at this price, pull their inventory, or raise the price of their inventory (and the Inter-Continental would need to be the next lowest in price)-the Inter-Continental would be need to lower its price below this offeringWhat is the hotel direct price of the Inter-Continental?How happy/disappointed would be you be with one of the other offerings vs. the Inter-Continental?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. azcardzfan Posted March 27, 2009 Author Report Posted March 27, 2009 Well its either the Condado from thurs-tues or the 2nd hotel I posted from wends-mon. I would prefer to stay at the Intercontinental since I heard not so great things about the beach at Condado. Does anyone know what the 2nd hotel I posted is? Do these rates change frequently? I just have a watch on both dates so we'll see if the hotels change....
thereuare Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Good news...If you change your search to 2adults/2children and search for 5/13-5/18 a different 4* hotel appears:Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Hi-Speed Interent, Business, Laundry, Tennis, Spa(as well as Tripadvisor info of 4.0/5.0 with 460+ reviews)This is a match for the Inter-Continental so that would be our best guess... and priced comprable to the hotels you've asked about at $139/nite.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
