This is the first time i used PRICELINE and i was worried about what i would get. I by chance entered 75 dollars a night and I didn't think it would be accepted but it was!!!! The hotel is 5 star and is in an excellent location. Very satisfied with the results!

butch21,

Welcome to betterBidding!

Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing your results with the board.

As i believe this property is 4* rates as per PRICELINE, i've edited your topic title to reflect a 4* rating... can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the star rating as per your confirmation page from PRICELINE.

Can you also please add the date(s) of your stay in your reply so we can enable this win to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins.

priceline lists it as a 4 star. Travelocity lists it as 5 star and if i remember correctly so does Orbitz. But i did notice that when i googled the hotel some list it as 4 star where others list it as 5 star. I believe the nh website lists it as 5 star as well.

Regardless, it is an amazing deal and it is listed as a 4 star on priceline. So on priceline, I bid 75 dollars and i got the nh amsterdam centre 4 star hotel from april 17th-24th!!! :)

As for the reply for the member who got it for 60$..this is the first time i was using priceline bidding (which is aaamazing :) )and i read the blogs about those members who bid 60-70 and got the nh krasnopolsky and they stated how they were a little worried because eventhough it had 5 star rating that it also had poor reviews compared to the other nh hotels in amsterdam. I thought that if i started bidding a little higher that i would end up with something else. I'm still learning how to use it and how to go about bidding specific prices..But that's great that you got if for 60!!!! i'm staying there the third week in april for a week. What dates did you book for that you got it for 60?

While it's good that this worked out for you this stay, this is generally not a recommended strategy, as per this thread: Don't Bid Higher For a Specific Hotel.
