Priceline Hotel: 3* Austin (North) Radisson North

First post, so don't be too hard.

Won the night on the first bid ($50). I called the hotel early the date I was checking in and asked for double beds. Stayed with two adults and two kids without any issues.

The Good

- Helpful employees that allowed me to get double beds.

- Nice lobby and pool

- Next to the Mall

- Short car ride to downtown/UT

- Free parking

The Not so Good

- No free breakfast

- Hotel employee tried to open the door late at night, even though it had a do not disturb sign. It was locked from the inside so she could not get in. I was too tired to complain. She tried only once. Maybe it was an isolated mistake.

Overall, great value in my mind. I am hesitant about using Priceline because you cannot get double beds guaranteed so you always take a chance.

Also, someone in tripadvisor mentioned that it is close to the Greyhound Station. I didn't find that to be an issue. Looked pretty safe. I saw a security guard in the parking lot, which is always nice.

I didn't use the links because I found this forum after I made the reservation. I will use PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links going forward. This is a great resource.
