Hotwire Hotel: 4.5 * in Quincy Market - Financial District

Hi all I'm new to this forum. I've never used HOTWIRE before and stumpled across this website when trying to figure out which hotels were being listed on hotwire. This site is great!

I'm trying to book a 4.5-star hotel in Quincy Market - Financial District amenities are non-smoking, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, internet, and spa; which makes me believe its the intercontinental. The original rate was $117 (2 adults/0 kids). I tried to book twice and got the same error that the itinerary was no longer available. I just tried to look it up again (about an hr and half later) and the hotel is being listed at $179! :)

I was wondering if there is any chance that the price will go back down? I have time to wait my travel dates are 4/24-4/26. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Rates can, and do, change all the time based upon supply demand factors... if the hotel receives fewer booking over the next few weeks than expected OR more cancellations than predicted then it's possible rates will fall and/or you'll see this property re-appear on HOTWIRE.

Just wanted to follow up for the board, because it is so useful. I decided to go through a different hotel with a packaged deal, so I didnt go through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE because the price never went down. Thanks so much for the useful information, I will be sure to use again on future travel!
