Sfbay
Hi, I want to get the WESTIN ST. FRANCIS in SAN FRANCISCO as a present for my parents visiting the USA for the first time. Could anyone kindly help in advising in a STRATEGY to ensure I get this hotel at a REASONABLE(ish) LOWEST possible priceThank you in advance for any help. Link to comment
WillTravel
Unfortunately that can't be done. The Westin St. Francis only comes up rarely on Priceline, and in any event you cannot bid for a specific hotel. Would they be happy with another 4* hotel in central San Francisco? Link to comment
Sfbay
It's me that really wants to get them in the Westin. However, any good 4* Hotel would be GREAT. So any ADVICE on HOW to BID and a STRATEGY would be most APPRECIATED. Thanks, Link to comment

Sfbay
Oops. Sunday August 12 - Checking out Friday August 17. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
WillTravel
Your Priceline bid has to be for a stay that is 330 days or less from the current date, so it's a little early to bid.Are their plans firm and their airline tickets purchased so that a nonrefundable booking this far out won't be a problem? thereuare
When bidding 4* in this area you have five re-bid zones availble. If you're not familiar with re-bidding place read this link PRICELINE 72 HOUR RULE and feel free to ask any questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board. If you have an understandng of the above, i would proceed as follows:Select 4* USE:Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $90.Any questions regarding the above let us know.If not, Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
