Glaswegian Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 HiI was pleased with my deal for 4* Renaissance Mayflower for 4 nights in Sept. A few days later we decided to add on an extra night. I requested an add on but did not accept the offer, it was double the price. However, the next day I decided to go with the offer but it was no longer available. Is this because I refused it first time around, or has the hotel stopped offering cheap deals. I think I might be better waiting till nearer the time and hope for the best.Thanks.
yellowdog Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Glaswegian - Yes, you only have chance to extend your stay. And there is no "best time" to use the offer. But, I belive the odds are better if you try to extend the stay when the hotels rates are the same or lower when you hit the hotel on priceline. If rates are higher for the extended stay, is it likley that is harder to get the same price.Hope this helps.YellowDog.
Glaswegian Posted April 3, 2009 Author Report Posted April 3, 2009 Thank you for getting back to me. I'll go back to priceline and bid nearer the time of my trip and see what I get. We will probably end up at a different hotel for 1 night. My own fault so I can't complain.
