Hotwire Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Central Strip) Treasure Island

I am looking for one room for 4 adults (2 beds) in the centre or southstrip. Using the HOTWIRE link from this forum I was offered:

5 star hotel for $244.00, this is higher than our budget

and

4 star hotel for $136.00

It shows casino, fitness centre, pool, restaurant, business centre, golf nearby, spa

Would this be Treasure Island? We would be happy with that, or Paris. We just don't want to stay at Planet Hollywood. So if was TI or Paris I would be happy to book.

Do you think the rates will go any lower? We have looked at all the hotel websites for our preferred hotels (Treasure Island, Mirage, NYNY, Venetian, Palazzo, Caesars, Wynn, MGM) and the rates available are close to $200.00 or more per night, even with promotions.

I'm going to check PRICELINE as well, but we really don't want Trump, which is why I am leaning towards HOTWIRE.

Thank you

Rachael

Welcome To BetterBidding!

This is a match for Treasure Island. So That would be my best guess.

Please us boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to book this.

If going with PRICELINE You have to exclude the North + South zones to avoid Trump and Planet Hollywood. And there is nothing left after that if you want to stay on the strip.

Just post if you need any further help.

We have decided to go with HOTWIRE. I think we could probably get a better deal on Priceline. And after a very quick discussion we could live with Planet Hollywood. However we really don't want Trump (we really want to be at a Casino. We don't gamble much, but for us part of the fun of Vegas is staying at a Casino). We also don't want the Westin as we want to be on the strip, not a block back from the strip. So while we may not have ended up with Trump or Westin, we didn't want to risk it.

Now we have to decide if we book the $136 a night, or do we risk waiting to see if the rates will drop closer to the date. I'm not sure I can play the waiting game.

I'm excited for our trip. Hubby and I are traveling with his parents. They honeymooned in Vegas 36 years ago and haven't been back since.

Nobody can say if prices will go up... or down, but if one of the hotels you want is currently offered, it's a good price, then i would take it.

The price could always go down a few dollars, but... you're searching for quad occupancy which often raises the price and makes things a bit more difficult, this offering could disappear and leave you with the next best optino of one of the hotels you previously were trying to avoid, and the price could also go up.

Ultimately it's your decision if you want to wait or not, but it seems to me like a good deal vs. the $200 you say is quoted at their website and it's one of your top choices in a property.
