Hi,

I am trying to book 3.5-star hotel in Fisherman's Wharf on 03/30-3/31. We need two room for 5 adult. Here is what I get on hotwire.

3.5 * Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business : for $86 per nite which is a good deal.

But when I look for 2 adult in one room, it's only $75 with the same amenities. 1 room with 3 adult is still $86. If I book together with 5 adult in 2 room, both room get $86!

The hotel looks like it's Hilton. (Thanks for everyone's post, I learned from here ^^) But it is not 100% that we will end up in the same hotel. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ben

If it's a good deal and it's important for you to all be in the same hotel... then take it.

If you did choose to make two separate purchases and would be booking one room for double occupancy and one room for triple occupancy, the differnce would be $11, deduct another buck or two off for the slightly higher booking fee on two separate purchases, and you're probably looking at under $10 differece, or less than $2/pp... take the easy route, make sure everyone is at the same hotel, and enjoy yourself.

If the $10 savings is it worth the risk of possibly ending up at different hotels, then you can make two separate purchases... although i think chances are good that you end up at the same hotel, it's not worth the risk, imo. Maybe if the hotel had a distinctive amenity combination that was unique to this hotel in this area (ie- a Pool icon for a hotel in NYC where most hotels don't have pools, a Boutique icon in an area with every few such hotels, etc, etc)... but not with a generic "Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business" combination in a large city.

Additionally, you run the risk that after the first purchase a new hotel with an entirely different set of amenity icons is shown when you go back for the second purchase. Again, i think the probability of this is low, but still not a risk i'd take for what amount to $2/pp.

Because I change the date to 04/01-04/02. The 3.5* change to $99 per nite. I decided to go with the 3* because it looks like Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf , not Holiday Inn.

3* hotel in Fisherman's Wharf: $85 per nite

Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Laundry Facilities, and Internet.

It is Radisson.

This site really help me a lot to make my first booking with hotwire. I now know how to id the hotel. Thanks!
